Since its origin in 1978 the North Ayrshire Group of Advanced Motorists has had nearly 1600 drivers come through its doors to join as associate members. Through guidance from trained observers, many of these drivers have gone on to pass the advanced driving test and become full members of the IAM. The group has a great social spirit, regularly having social and party nights as well as running fun events such as a manoeuvrability competition and even a blindfold manoeuvrability competition!
